CREATIVE DIRECTOR

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

I set creative direction that’s platform-native and brand-consistent, then guide teams through production + post to land it.

What I deliver

  • Develop concepts, creative direction, and narrative approach from the brief

  • Define tone, visual language, pacing, and motion principles across formats

  • Direct edits and guide design/motion choices to raise clarity and impact

  • Present ideas confidently, handle feedback, and steer iterations without drift

  • Utilise my wider-production knowledge base and skillset to problem solve and guide creative teams

Discovery & Briefing

Discovery & Briefing

Every project begins with clarity: the objective, the audience, and the role the creative needs to play. I work with stakeholders to define the core message, the emotional tone, and what “good” looks like in practice, not just in theory. From there I shape the creative so it’s platform-native and brand-consistent: narrative, pacing, visual language, and the principles that guide design and motion decisions.

I like to establish the “non-negotiables” early (what we must protect) and areas that are more flexible (where we can iterate fast). That makes feedback smoother, keeps the work coherent, and prevents creative drift as more opinions enter the room.

My experience is bolstered from a wider production skillset: live action and animation, clearly communicated ideas, with a process that keeps quality high while still moving quickly.

I’m production-literate on set: comfortable shaping the look through camera, lighting and sound decisions, and translating creative direction into practical shot requirements, so capture supports the story and post stays efficient.

CREATIVE DIRECTION & ALIGNMENT

CREATIVE DIRECTION & ALIGNMENT

Once direction is set, I translate it into a usable toolkit the team can execute against: moodboards, references, scripts, storyboards, shotlists, typography/graphic principles, and a clear narrative arc. I’m comfortable presenting concepts, defending choices with rationale, and reframing feedback so it becomes actionable rather than disruptive.

I also set the review cadence and decision points to protect momentum: who gives notes, when, and what constitutes sign-off. Creative work lives or dies by alignment, so I treat stakeholder management as part of the process.

EXECUTION & POLISH

EXECUTION & POLISH

I guide execution through edit and post to make sure the work lands as intended: story, rhythm, clarity, and brand integrity. Depending on the project, that can mean hands-on editorial direction, typography hierarchy, and finishing decisions across sound, colour, and delivery.

I’m particularly focused on consistency and detail at scale: maintaining a high quality bar across multiple assets, versions, and formats without the work feeling templated or diluted. The final 10% matters, because it’s usually the difference between “fine” and “premium.”
