I’ve split my channel into three. Why? Well, it’s because of my refusal to niche down on one topic/ style of content. There are a lot of things I want to explore, some of which won’t be of interest to the people who subscribed to my channel for the AI/ Stable Diffusion/ Automatic1111 content.
When my channel initially blew up I felt pressured to ride that wave and create content that was in my opinion very narrow and lacking in scope. I have much more experience in several other creative fields and felt that I was being pulled away from those interests in favour of one particular software.
I changed up the content, made a short series called ‘Prompt Gods’ which was more akin to the content I wanted to produce on YouTube. Narrative stories, video essays and deep dives into creativity, technology and the human condition.
My main channel has gone through a bit of a rebrand, where I plan to continue creating higher production value content like my recent Roko’s Basilisk documentary:
The bulk of the old tutorial content has been set to unlisted as I don’t want potential new subscribers joining the community and then not getting the old style of content. Instead, I will be creating new creative and tech focused tutorial content on the channel below:
